Welcome to Cafe Portofino, the award-winning Italian Restaurant of the Pacific, where we are proud to offer Kauai’s finest Italian Specialities. Cafe Portofino, meaning “Port of the Dolphins,” originated in Porto Fino, Italy, near the Bay of Genova, and came to Hawaii in 1989 with the knowledge of three generations of true Italian chefs and restaurateurs to present for your dining pleasure an authentic Italian restaurant. Cafe Portofino is distinguished by its dedication to notable cuisine, created daily with freshly made pastas, breads and sauces utilizing local produce and herbs. Our bright, spacious, and cheerful restaurant, located in its new setting on the beach at the Kauai Marriott Resort overlooking beautiful Kalapaki Bay, offers a variety of tasty and generous entrees, including fine pastas, fresh seafood, great osso buco, and many other sensational specialities.
